My wife Candice, our two kids and I chose Naramata because we wanted to build our life in a place where community still matters. Our children attend Naramata Elementary, I serve with the Naramata Volunteer Fire Department and as a First Responder, I coach with my son's baseball team, and our family volunteers locally. We are also building our family home here.

My 25-year career spans technical work, senior corporate leadership and business ownership. In my final corporate role, I led an international organization of roughly 180 team members and managed a $10 million operating and capital budget while leading major improvements in customer service, efficiency and employee engagement. I later became a co-owner and principal of an engineering company, with responsibility across strategy, operations, finances, sales and people, including significant work with municipalities on complex permitting and approval processes.

Several years ago, I stepped away from day-to-day business life to focus more time on family, community and work with direct personal impact. Today I provide business and life coaching and am developing a Young Men's Mentorship and Coaching Program. I have not built my career inside government, and I see that outside perspective as a strength. I want to bring practical leadership to the Director role: listen carefully, understand root causes, challenge the status quo when something is not working, bring people together and follow through.
